Doss, a real estate company focused on technology and artificial intelligence, has announced a new “accelerator” program that will allow industry professionals to launch franchises without paying traditional franchise fees.
A statement from the company called the program “groundbreaking” and explained that it would waive Doss’s normal $15,000 franchise fee for 20 potential franchisees. Applicants will still need to pay a “nominal $2,500 administration fee to cover installation costs and training costs,” the statement noted, and will need to meet various criteria, such as having a $25,000 cash reserve ready to go by August 31 Start operations. .
Other requirements to qualify for the program include establishing an office within a year and a half and committing to recruiting 30 to 50 agents within the first year of operation.
Dos co-founder and CEO Bobby Bryant said in a statement that the plan is “more than just owning a real estate franchise; it’s about being part of a movement.”

The statement goes on to describe Doss as an artificial intelligence real estate brokerage with a flat-fee model. The company also operates in the mortgage sector and has an in-house technology development arm, among other things. According to the statement, Doss is backed by Amazon and Google.
In 2017, the company released Ask Doss, a voice-driven home search tool. A new version integrating ChatGPT-4, called Ask Doss 2.0, was launched last year. The launch makes Doss one of many real estate companies that are moving quickly to incorporate the latest artificial intelligence into their products.
However, Doss is somewhat unique in that it is both a technology company and a franchisee. Of course, other companies are involved in both areas. It’s worth noting that Keller Williams has described itself as a technology company for years, while Compass is known for its technology but has also experimented with franchising.
