After years of working together on various high-end listings, Tomer Fridman and Sally Forster Jones have formed a new team: Jones Fridman International Jones Fridman International), hollywood reporter reported on Monday.

Jones, of the Sally Forster Jones Group, and Fridman, of the Fridman Group, joined Compass about six years ago and began working together almost immediately to represent real estate. (Friedman spent a month at the Hilton and Highland Hotels.) The two agencies’ teams have combined for $25 billion in career sales, making the two companies a powerhouse to be reckoned with.

The pair’s first listing together is the Viewpoint Collection, a portfolio of luxury homes in some of Los Angeles’ most iconic neighborhoods valued at more than $1.5 billion.

“We’ve been working together for over six years, and throughout that process we’ve realized that we work very, very well together, all of our teams work very, very well together, and the two of us work very well together, better than we do. Everybody is much better off individually,” Foster-Jones told Inman. “We complement each other very well and bring out the best in what we present.”

Notable properties represented by the pair include the Spelling Mansion (once the world’s most expensive property, selling for $150 million), the Owlwood Estate, Brentwood Oasis and the Odin House in Encino. Some of their clients also include big-name celebrities like the Kardashian family, Jennifer Lopez, Pamela Anderson, and Candice Spelling. Combined, they will have $2 billion in active listings and a team of approximately 43 employees and agents.

The pair are also currently leading sales of the 17-unit Rosewood Residences in Beverly Hills, the area’s first Rosewood residential project, which is still in progress.

After years of working together, the duo’s clients actually began suggesting that they formalize their collaborative skills by forming a joint team. After about six months of logistical work, the formal partnership has come to fruition.

Tomer Friedman

“Our (partnership) has been tested and proven to be very impactful, not just for our business but for our customers,” Friedman said. “Because together we have moved over the past six years potentially worth more than $3 billion in inventory, and we’re going to continue to do that.

“Also, we feel like what we’re looking for is an evolution; evolution, expansion and growth,” he continued. “It was a natural progression for us to do this together as a large team because we individually co-listed so many properties – not just co-listed but for sale – in such a high volume that it was a major issue in the industry. The country was at a record high and we thought, ‘What if we actually merged? Create a new brand that truly operates and represents luxury real estate, which is what Sally and I specialize in.’ How impactful would this be? “

Jones Fridman International operates in approximately 40 countries and has five offices in Latin America alone (Mexico City, Cancun, Vallarta, Los Cabos and Panama City), thanks to Compass and Barnes International Realty’s International Referral Network. Additionally, Tomer Fridman and his mother, Isidora Fridman, have international advantages as co-founders and co-chairs of Israel Sotheby’s International Realty.

Isidora Friedman

“As co-owners of Israel Sotheby’s International Realty, Tomer and I have a very unique and specific advantage,” Isidora Friedman said in a statement. “Our relationships with owners and leaders in the luxury real estate market in the world’s top countries allow us to be integrated into the international conversation of luxury real estate and global buyers. This allows us to work with a more mutually beneficial and A vetted way to connect with buyers and sellers around the world.”

Friedman and Foster-Jones told Inman that the nature of their clients owning multiple homes in different markets helps drive growth for each of their teams in the U.S. and internationally. Now, they have joined forces to further expand their market footprint and team size, with plans to open 12 additional offices in the U.S. and overseas luxury markets next year.

Their recent trademark slogan, “Elevating Luxury,” reflects their shared philosophy of luxury as a lifestyle and the high-quality service they strive to provide their customers, the pair also told Inman.

Friedman and Foster-Jones said their personalities and work styles complemented each other so well that they could often predict each other’s reactions to a particular listing or a specific situation with a client. They also have similar work ethics, so they each contribute equally to the partnership.

“If you’re looking for a partner, that partner shouldn’t just complement you but actually show up and work as hard as you do,” Friedman says. “We both work really hard… it’s a huge foundation for us; both of us never stop.”
