Corcoran Group has informed Inman that it has established its first subsidiary, Corcoran Prime, in Oregon.

Corcoran Prime is owned and led by Becky Jackson, and the franchise serves clients throughout the Portland metro area and has an office in Portland’s downtown Pearl District.

“There is tremendous opportunity in the Portland market, and entering the market with Corcoran Prime is an ideal opportunity, not only for our existing strong West Coast business, but also for our broader business,” Corcoran Group President and CEO Pamela Liebman said in a statement. A broad international alliance would also be beneficial,” stated. “The experienced team behind Corcoran Prime provides the foundation for growth and success when combined with Corcoran’s innovative tools, iconic brand and world-class support system.”

Corcoran Prime was originally founded by Jackson and her colleague Matt Lesher in 2014 as The Agency, Inc. Realtors. (It has no affiliation with The Agency, which is based in Beverly Hills.) Since then, the company has grown to about two dozen licensed agents and several support staff.

The announcement also states that the team behind Corcoran Prime has become an experienced and collaborative group of agents in the Portland market.
