The property involved in the case is 1035 Stradella Road Tony Bel Air in Los Angeles. The 12,130-square-foot mansion includes seven bedrooms and 14 bathrooms spread over three main levels and a lower level. Designed by Bowery Design Group and interior designer Faye Resnick, the home also features an interior atrium and water wall, two-car garage, dual gourmet kitchens, terraces, custom bar, 12-seat theater, wine room, indoor-outdoor gym and two swimming pools .

Granted, it’s a stunning property, but at the time of filming, it had been vacant for some time, in part because luxury buyers were out of the market due to factors like economic uncertainty and the still-fresh “mansion tax.” Levy on all homes sold for $5 million and above.

The seller is Dr. Paul Nassif, one of the VIP clients and friends of the agency’s CEO Mauricio Umansky.Famous plastic surgeon who has appeared in two films on E! screwed up and Bravo’s real housewives of beverly hills, Dr. Nassif may have been a friend, but he also had high expectations — Umansky said Dr. Nassif hoped to purchase the spec home for about $18 million, but was unable to do so due to a lack of urgency in the market. Hard to sell.

This is where auctions come in. In the second episode, Umansky hopes this strategy will create a sense of urgency that the market as a whole lacks so that he can offer Dr. Nassif a sales price as close to his dream figure as possible.

In the video above, Umansky attempts to secure another bidder for the upcoming auction during a tantalizing home tour in an effort to gather at least 10 bidders, the minimum number Dr. Nassif desires.

Will this house sell for $18 million, or will it stay the same? At this point, the curious can do the detective work and find out for themselves what happened when the gavel finally fell, but wouldn’t it be more fun to watch the new season and watch the plot unfold in real time?
