In an effort to “expand sales and marketing pipelines for homebuilder customers,” data provider Zonda has acquired a widely used new home listing portal and a home design platform.

The company reported Wednesday Press release The company has acquired Builders Digital Experience, a deal that brings new construction listings site NewHomeSource.com and home design platform Envision under the Zonda umbrella.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed in the press release.

Zonda CEO Jeff Meyers said in a statement that the newly acquired services will become even more valuable when paired with Zonda’s existing products.

“With Zonda’s data, consumers will soon be able to find, tour and compare specific homes in new housing communities with a more dynamic experience than looking at model home listings and sample floor plans,” Meyers said in a statement. “This changes It will not only create a more attractive platform for consumers, but will also provide builders with extremely rich data to inform their business and pricing strategies.”

The move is not Zonda’s first foray into listing portals. Prior to the transaction, Zonda already operated Canadian new home portal Livabl.

The newly acquired Builders Digital Experience company is jointly owned by two dozen of the largest U.S. homebuilding companies including Lennar, PulteGroup and KB Home, according to a news release. Since its founding in 2000, the company has more than 1,200 active builders.

Kevin Krone, CEO of Builders Digital Experience, said in the announcement that the acquisition by Zonda is expected to bring more potential customers to builders participating in these platforms.

“Zonda’s deep data and technology experience make it an ideal choice to take our vision to the next level,” Krone said in the statement. “As builders race to meet consumer demand for new homes, we are excited to bring Zonda to our technology platform to the next level and ultimately drive growth for the entire industry.”

Builders on the platform will also have access to more Zonda data on consumer purchasing trends, market dynamics and lead conversions, the press release said.

The move is also expected to enhance features available to NewHomeSource.com users, including community layouts, floor plans and self-guided tours of new construction homes using Zonda’s existing integration with UTour.
